Production Coordinator


1st shift  5:50am-2:20pm


Up to $30/hr to start


 


Responsibilities:



  • In this Leadership/Advanced Level experience MIG/TIG Welder role – the role will oversee and support daily production requirements – while sharing best practices within that of a team-based work environment.

  • This role will consist of leading approx. 15 – 20 team members in manual/open-table MIG/TIG Welding operations on a diversified line of light to medium gauge mild-steel, stainless steel and aluminum parts.

  • The role requires operation of welding equipment, robotic welders/programming and work-holding fixtures 


 



  • Completes daily QMS initiatives such as;

  • First Piece (FPQ) and In-process Checks per AQL (Advanced Quality Level)

  • Weld and Finish specification – specific to WPS, WQTR and weld sequence

  • Works from and interprets drawings/sketches, routings, process control sheets.

  • Assists with sample parts and process development and setup requirements.

  • Assist in the development of standardized work (Work Instructions) for ferrous/non-ferrous metals.

  • Demonstrate a keen understanding for the use of measurement tools/methods, part tolerances, welding fixtures and sequence of operation.

  • Applies thorough knowledge of welding equipment per WPS (Weld Procedure Specifications) and WQTR (Welder Qualification Test Records) and the effects of parameter changes.

  • Visually inspect weldments; identifies potential quality non-conformance thru First Piece Inspections and sufficiently repairs and reports defects.

  • Collaborates with team in the identification of non-conformances and CA/PA’s

Required Qualifications :


  • Minimum of 5 years of practical manufacturing/welding experience in that of a production/job shop environment (preferably within a fabrication and/or industrial environment).

  • Understanding of welding symbols, terms, and definitions per AWS D1.1, D1.2 and D1.3.

  • The ability to perform welding setups and operations for open-table MIG/TIG

  • PPractical insight into fabrication and welding disciplines

  • Bilingual a plus

  • Associates Degree/Technical Diploma in Welding/Fabricator, Welding Technician and/or CWI (Certified Welding Inspector) considered a plus.
