Production Supervisor (Direct Hire!)
· Coordinate, and guide activities in the areas of manufacturing, quality enhancement, staffing, training, employee relations. Supervising team of 20-30 employees
· Encourage a culture that promotes quality in all aspects of the operations.
· Advise Materials Department of the need to order material to assure timely procurement of materials to avoid delays.
· Recommend increases and/or decreases in workforce to meet scheduling requirements in a cost-efficient manner to include making recommendations/decision on overtime and use of contract employees.
· In conjunction with Human Resources, maintain positive employee relations and participate in initial grievance meetings as required.
· Conduct meetings with plant personnel and union representatives as necessary. Provide coaching and guidance for subordinate personnel.
· Appraise performance; recommend promotions, skill pay, etc.
· Ensure conformance with company work rules and contract provisions and oversee or personally take disciplinary actions as required.
· Resolve problems and to implement corrective procedures.
